| Chinos The history of Chinos began in 1898 during the war in Cuba between Spain and USA where in order to respond to the tropical weather conditions a new cotton fabric in khaki colour (an Urdu word that signifies dusty, dust colour) with a diagonal weave was introduced: "gabardine", a fabric that is characterized by a strong resistance. The word Chinos is probably derived by the English root chino- and refers to China to which the US Army turned for the supplying of the khaki cotton trousers destined to the men assigned to the theatres of the Pacific and in effect already around 1930 Chinos trousers were similar to those of today. Avirex® proposes the same model used by the US Air Force that is the same that American pilots, in order to show that they belonged to a very special Corp, gave us a practical example of the American Dream that was illustrated in a lot of movies through images of these pilots in their airplanes.
Avirex® presents both the classic Chinos in gabardine and in the new technological Chinos in TKG® fabric. |
