In 1942 a small workshop in Long Island obtains the first exclusive licence to produce leather jackets for the U.S. Air Force and for decades supplies the U.S. Air Force under the label "Avirex". After more than thirty years a joung newyorker lawer buys out this small industry and transforms Avirex in a trade mark. In a short time the company starts again to produce the famous "Bomber" weared during the Second World War and the company decides to sell these products on the civilian market. When Avirex® arrives in Europe it chooses Italy not only for its production capabilities but mainly for the skills of the local Designers able to maintain an outstanding quality level and to innovate at the same time the traditional models. Today the Brand follows indipendent and diversified strategies by Geographical Area and the Headquarters for Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia are in Milan (with the only exclusion of America and Japan). The Avirex® Civilian & Military Tailors models got a lot of popularity thanks to the fidelity to the original models and also through the Cinema, from the 80's till now. Avirex® increases also its popularity launching its Chinos trousers that are the same models used during the II World War by the U.S. Air Forces. Recently with the launch of the new TKG® fabric this capacity to innovate and renovate has permitted to the brand to be considered among the most popular in the World.
